# Mare cycle checks

Use this page to view, filter and manage mare cycle checks – records of pregnancy status, uterus, cervix and eggs.

## What's on this page
- **Filters**: select a **Mare** and/or an **Owner** to narrow the list; includes a search field and a **Print** button.
- **Mare cycle checks table**: shows each check with **Date**, **Mare**, **Mare owners**, **Is pregnant**, **Uterus**, **Cervix** and **Eggs**; click a row to open the detailed view.

## Common tasks

### Add a new mare cycle check
1. Tap the **New mare cycle check** button (top‑right).
2. In the modal, fill in date, pregnancy status, uterus, cervix, eggs and any note.
3. Press **Save**.

### Find a specific mare cycle check
1. Use the **Mare** and **Owner** filters or type in the search box to limit the list.
2. Click the desired row to open the mare’s cycle history.

### Print the list of checks
1. Click the **Print** button in the filter bar.
2. The PDF is generated and downloaded.

## Good to know
- The **New mare cycle check** button only appears if you have permission to manage mare cycle checks.
- The **Mare owners** column is hidden on small screens; owners appear in the mobile row layout.
- If no records match the filters you see “No mare cycle check found for this mare” – adjust your filters.
- The list is sorted by **Date** descending by default; click a column header to change the order.

## Mare cycle history {#mare-cycle-history}

This modal lists all previously recorded mare cycle checks for the selected mare.

### Pregnant
- Shows whether the mare was pregnant at the time of the check (e.g., Yes, No, Unknown).

### Uterus
- Shows the uterus condition recorded during the check (e.g., normal, enlarged).

### Cervix
- Shows the cervix softness recorded during the check (e.g., soft, firm).

### Eggs
- For each egg observed, the row lists its location, size in cm (if measured), hardness, and current state.

### Chat icon
- If a speech-bubble icon appears next to the date, tap or hover it to read any additional notes attached to that check.

## Mare cycle check {#save-mare-cycle-check}

Use this form to record a mare’s cycle check and schedule follow‑up activities.

### Mare
- Select existing or create new; owner badge appears below.

### Breeding plan
- Pick a plan; may auto‑fill stallion and agent.

### Stallion
- Choose the stallion used for insemination.

### Agent / Insemination‑station
- Select the contact that performed the insemination.

### Is pregnant
- Choose status; shows related fields.

### Pregnancy check term
- If pregnant, pick the term (first, second, third).

### Uterus
- When not pregnant, record uterus condition including fluid and cervix.

### Eggs
- Add eggs; set location, size (cm), hardness, state; delete with trash icon.

### Cyst map
- Place cysts; drag to move, +/- to resize, trash to delete.

### Plan scan
- Select scan day (Today, Tomorrow, etc.) or Custom and enter days.

### Plan insemination
- Select insemination day; hint shows exact date.

### Followup pregnancy check(s)
- Add checks with days after insemination; each creates a planned activity.

### History
- Shows last 3 checks; you can copy cysts or notes into this form.

### Skip
- Press Skip to omit the check.

### After saving
- The check is saved, appears in the mare’s breeding overview, and planned activities are added.
