Select which duplicate should stay as the primary, pick the ones to merge, resolve any differing fields, and confirm the merge. ## What's on this page - **Duplicate cards**: a horizontal list of the duplicate contacts. Each card shows the contact’s name, type, and a star for the primary. Use **Set as primary** to change the primary, and tap the card or its checkbox to select or deselect it for merging. - **Contact details**: the form where you edit the primary contact’s information. Fields that have different values in the selected duplicates show a **Differs** chip so you can choose which value to keep. ## Common tasks ### Choose the primary contact 1. Find the card you want to keep. 2. Tap the **Set as primary** button on that card; the star and **Primary** label appear. ### Select which duplicates to merge 1. Tap a card (or its checkbox) to toggle selection; selected cards are counted in the “X selected” badge. 2. The **Merge selected duplicates** button stays disabled until at least one duplicate is selected. ### Review and perform the merge 1. In the **Contact details** section, look for fields marked **Differs** and pick the preferred value. 2. Click the **Merge selected duplicates** button. 3. In the confirmation dialog, click **Merge** to finish (or **Cancel** to abort). The merge cannot be undone. ## Good to know - Deleted contacts appear with a red **Deleted** label and are still merged because they may be linked to invoices or other records. - If the opened primary contact is deleted, the app automatically switches to a non‑deleted duplicate as primary (once per page load). - The horizontal list may hide cards to the right; on desktop scroll, on mobile swipe, as hinted by “Scroll for more →” or “Swipe for more”. - The **Merge selected duplicates** button is only active when at least one duplicate is selected.
