First you set up feed types and feeding times, then you assign feeds per horse; the same information can also be viewed on an individual horse’s page. ## What a feed schema is A feed schema is the complete plan that tells which **Feed type** and **Quantity** each horse gets at every **feeding** of the day, starting from a chosen **Start** date (and optionally an **End** date). It is built on the feed types and feeding times you defined in Settings. ## How it works together 1. **Settings**: In the [Settings](/documentation/feed-settings/) page you create the **Feed types** (hay, concentrate, etc.) and the daily **Feeding times** (e.g., 07:00, 12:00). These are stored per stable and are used by all horses in that stable. 2. **Feeding schedule**: Open the [Feeding schedule](/documentation/feed-planning/) page. Here you see a table with all horses in the selected stable(s). To give a horse a feed, tap an empty cell for the desired feeding, enter **Feed type**, **Quantity**, **Start** (and optional **End**) and tap **Save**. Existing feeds can be edited or removed from the same cell. 3. Any feed that starts today or tomorrow is highlighted in amber and shows the label **Changes today** or **Changes tomorrow**, so you instantly know which feeds are being updated. 4. The same feed schema is also shown on the individual horse’s page, giving you a quick view of one horse’s plan without scrolling through the whole list. ## Good to know - Only horses with an assigned stable are listed by default; using a filter or the search field shows all horses, including those without a stable. - Feed types and feeding times are defined in Settings and cannot be changed from the Feeding schedule page. - You need the “manage feed” permission to see the plus icon and to use **Add new feed**, **Edit**, or **Remove**; without it those actions are hidden. - Amber‑highlighted cells and the **Changes today** / **Changes tomorrow** labels help you spot upcoming adjustments quickly.
