# Care settings

The Care settings tile lists how often farrier, dentist and deworm visits are planned, which vaccination rule applies, and the most recent health readings.

## Reading the Care settings
- **Vaccination rules**: the rule that determines which vaccinations this horse receives (or “-” if none).
- **Farrier visit**: number of weeks between each farrier visit (or “-” if not set).
- **Dentist visit**: number of weeks between each dentist visit (or “-” if not set).
- **Deworm**: number of weeks between each deworming (or “-” if not set).
- **Weight**: last recorded weight in kg (or “-”).
- **Temperature**: last recorded temperature in °C (or “-”).
- **Heart rate**: last recorded heart rate in bpm (or “-”).
- **Respiratory rate**: last recorded breathing rate in bpm (or “-”).

## Edit care settings
1. Click the **Edit** button (pencil icon) on the tile.
2. In the modal, choose a **Vaccination rule** (or **None**) and fill in **Farrier weeks**, **Dentist weeks**, **Deworm weeks**, **Weight**, **Temperature**, **Heart rate**, **Respiratory rate**.
3. Press **Save** to apply the changes or **Cancel** to discard them.

## Good to know
- The tile is shown only when the horse is linked to a stable.
- The **Edit** button appears only for users with permission to manage horses.
- Vaccination rules are loaded from the organisation’s horse settings; you can add or edit them in the horse settings screen.
