# Insemination routes

On this page you see all breeding orders that need to be inseminated and you can plan the inseminator’s daily route.

## What's on this page
- **Export route**: primary button top‑right that opens a modal to export the route as a PDF; disabled when there are no orders.
- **Date**: filter button to pick a shipping date (single day or range) with quick shortcuts for today and tomorrow.
- **Search**: text field (placeholder Search inseminator, mare, stallion…) that also provides dropdown filters for **Inseminator**, **Mare**, **Stallion**.
- **Insemination routes list**: table with columns #, **Stallion**, **Owner**, **Delivery address**, **Mare**, **Insemination date**, **Inseminator**. When no orders match the filters a “No orders” message is shown.
- **Drag‑and‑drop rows**: grab the number in the first column and move it; the new order is saved automatically.

## Common tasks
### Filter orders
1. Click the **Date** button and choose a day or use the quick‑select for today/tomorrow.
2. Type a term in the **Search** field or open the dropdowns to select an **Inseminator**, **Mare**, or **Stallion**.
3. The list updates automatically.

### Reorder the route
1. In the list, grab the number in the first column of a row and drag it to the desired position.
2. Release to drop; the new order is saved instantly.
3. The numbers adjust automatically.

### Export a route
1. Press the **Export route** button.
2. In the modal, optionally choose an **Inseminator** from the dropdown to export only that inseminator’s orders.
3. Click the **Export X orders** button to download the PDF.

## Good to know
- The **Export route** button is disabled until at least one order is loaded.
- If any order lacks an inseminator, the export modal shows a warning; assign an inseminator first.
- While the export modal loads all matching orders you may see a spinner; wait for it to finish.
- Drag‑and‑drop works only if you have permission to manage semen routes; otherwise a forbidden page is shown.

Press the **Export route** button to open the Export insemination routes form.

## Export insemination routes {#export-route}

Use this form to download a PDF that shows the daily insemination route.

### Inseminator
- Choose an inseminator to export only the orders assigned to that inseminator. Leave the field empty to export all orders. The field is disabled and a warning appears if any order lacks an inseminator.

### After saving
- Tap **Export X orders**. The app creates a PDF named insemination_route_YYYY‑MM‑DD.pdf and downloads it to your computer.
