# Manure administration

Use this page to calculate or view the manure budget, the manure usage balance and the effective nitrogen coefficient for a chosen stable and year, and to approve pending manure transports.

## What’s on this page
- **Stable** and **Year** selectors: dropdown menus at the top where you choose the stable and the calendar year for the calculations.
- **Manure horse summary**: action button in the header that opens the horse‑by‑horse manure summary for the chosen stable and year.
- **Manure transport to approve**: action button in the header that opens the list of manure transports awaiting your approval.

## Common tasks
### Calculate the manure budget
1. Choose a **Stable** and a **Year** using the selectors at the top.
2. In the **Calculate budget** tile, tap **Calculate your budget** (or **View/edit year budget** if a budget already exists).
3. On the next screen you can view or change the budget numbers.

### Calculate the manure balance
1. Choose a **Stable** and a **Year**.
2. In the **Calculate balance** tile, tap **Calculate your budget** (or **View/edit balance** if a balance already exists).
3. Review the nitrogen and phosphate usage shown on the balance screen.

### Calculate the effective nitrogen coefficient
1. Choose a **Stable** and a **Year**.
2. In the **Calculate nitrogen coefficient** tile, tap **Calculate your nitrogen coefficient** (or **View/edit nitrogen coefficient** if already calculated).
3. See the coefficient value and adjust it if needed.

## Good to know
- The page is only visible to users with administrator rights; if you don’t see it you likely lack those rights.
- The **Manure transport to approve** button appears only when there are transports pending approval for your organisation.
- Totals in the tables are shown in green when the result is positive (surplus) and in red when it is negative (shortfall).
- Table numbers are calculated from data entered elsewhere (feed schema, horse weights, etc.). Missing data appear as zeros.
- The button label in each tile changes to **Calculate …** if no data exist yet, otherwise it shows **View/edit …**.
