(mil/ml)**, **Moving cells**, **Inventory**, and **Storage**. A badge shows the semen type, and an **Incomplete** label marks unfinished entries. - **New semen collection** button: Adds a new collection (opens the **save semen collection** form). ## Common tasks ### Add a new semen collection 1. Click the **New semen collection** button. 2. Fill in the required fields (Date, Stallion, Fresh / Frozen, Volume, Concentration, Moving cells, Storage) and press **Save**. 3. The new entry appears in the list. ### Find a collection for a specific stallion 1. Type the stallion’s name in the **Search stallion...** field. 2. The list updates to show only that stallion’s collections. 3. Click a row to view full details if needed. ### Sort or check inventory 1. Click a column header such as **Collection date** or **Inventory** to sort the list. 2. On mobile, tap the sort button (shown as a chevron) to choose a sort order. 3. The table refreshes with the new ordering. ## Good to know - The **New semen collection** button is only visible if you have permission to manage semen collections. - When a stallion is selected in the filter, the **Stallion** column disappears because all rows belong to that stallion. - An **Incomplete** label means the collection data is not fully entered yet. - The **Fresh / Frozen** badge indicates the semen type; the **Inventory** column shows portions fresh or straws frozen with the “in stock” count. ## Semen collection {#save-semen-collection} Use this form to record a fresh or frozen semen collection for a stallion. ### Stallion & collection details - Pick the stallion (or pre‑filled) and collection date, select the collection station, and enter volume (ml), concentration (million/ml), moving cells (%) and morphology (%). Choose a shipping option (National, Europe or Worldwide). The TMNSC (million) updates automatically. ### Type - Select **Fresh** or **Frozen**. The choice determines which extra fields appear. #### Fresh - Enter **Portions fresh** and **Minimum number of TMNSC per portion**; the form calculates TMNSC per portion and concentration per portion. Order statistics are shown if available. #### Frozen (existing mount only) - For frozen semen (existing mount), set end concentration per straw (million/ml) to calculate volume, then fill in frozen‑semen details; TMNSC per straw and straws per portion are shown. ### File & Note - Upload a file (replaces any existing one) and add a note. ### After saving - The collection is added to the stallion’s semen list; the file becomes a download link.
