From here you set the stable’s basic data, decide who may perform which actions, link external services and keep the subscription up to date. The choices you make flow into horses, planning, invoicing and every other module. ## How users, roles and permissions work together In EquiApp a user can have one or more **Role**s. Each **Role** is a collection of **Permissions** that grant the right to perform specific actions – for example adding a horse, creating an invoice or editing a location. By assigning roles you control a user’s capabilities without editing each user individually. The **Permissions** page lets you create roles, tick the actions each role may perform, and activate hidden roles when needed. Changes only take effect after you click **Save** in the pending‑changes banner. ## How it works together 1. **[Settings](/documentation/organization-settings/)**: set the **Organization name**, **Timezone**, add **Stables**, **Pastures and other locations** and manage **Holidays**. The locations you add become selectable when assigning a horse or planning an activity. 2. **[Location](/documentation/location-detail/)**: edit a stable or pasture’s **General** information (name, phone, UBN, parent stable) and, if the shop & breeding module is active, the breeding options. Changing the address updates reports and appears in a horse’s **location history**. Use the **Edit** button on each tile and click **Save**. 3. **[Permissions](/documentation/permissions/)**: create new **Roles** with the **Add role** button, define which actions each role may perform, and activate any hidden roles. The role matrix updates instantly for assignment. 4. **[Users](/documentation/admin-users-list/)**: invite new staff with the **Invite user** button, assign one or more **Roles**, and optionally limit the **Stables** they can access. Use the search and filter tools to find a user and open their detail screen. 5. **[User details](/documentation/admin-user-details/)**: view a user’s contact information, edit it via the **Edit** button, adjust **Company access** when you have several companies, and see the horses they own and any orders. 6. **[Integrations](/documentation/integrations/)**: connect external services such as accounting, the Dutch RvO or HorseTelex. Use **Connect** to start a new integration, **Configure** Exact if needed, and for RvO you can **Connect location(s)** and **Import from RvO**. Active integrations sync data automatically. 7. **[Your Equinem subscription](/documentation/subscription/)**: see your **Current subscription**, add or remove modules, update the payment method or cancel. Enabling a module (e.g., shop & breeding) instantly makes its related fields appear on the Settings and Location pages. ## Good to know - Changing the **Timezone** updates all date‑time displays for every user instantly. - New **Stables** or **Pastures and other locations** appear in location pickers everywhere and are added to a horse’s **location history**. - Permission changes only take effect after you click **Save** in the pending‑changes banner on the **Permissions** page. - When your organisation has multiple companies the **Company access** dropdown appears on the user details page and during integration setup to select a **Company**.
