# Planning

The Planning page shows a calendar where you can view and manage activities for horses, staff or stables.

## What's on this page
- **Add button**: Opens a form to create a new activity or reservation for the selected date/time.
- **Today button**: Jumps back to the current day.
- **Previous / Next arrows**: Move the calendar one period left or right.
- **Date picker**: Click the shown date to open a calendar and choose a different day.
- **Filters**: Controls for Group by, View type, Time scale, Activity type, and Stable (shown only if you have more than one stable). Use them to narrow the view.
- **Calendar grid**: Shows days (Week or 3‑day view) across the top and activities placed in time slots. Daily notes for each stable appear below the headers.
- **Activity editor**: Appears when you click an activity or press **Add**; lets you edit details, move the activity, mark it done, etc.

## Common tasks
### Add a new activity or reservation
1. Click the **Add** button (top right).
2. Fill in the details (date, time, horse, staff, type, etc.) in the editor.
3. Save.
### Move an existing activity
1. Click the activity block in the calendar.
2. In the editor change the date, time or assigned horse/stable (or drag the block if drag‑and‑drop is supported).
3. Save.
### Filter the view
1. Use the filter controls (Group by, View type, Time scale, Activity type, Stable) in the toolbar.
2. Choose the options you need.
3. The calendar updates automatically.

## Good to know
- Drag‑and‑drop works only in the horse and staff calendars; in the stable view you must edit an activity to move it.
- The **Add** button creates a new activity at the current time; you can change the date later in the editor.
- The stable filter is shown only if you have more than one stable, and all filter choices are saved for your next visit.
- On small screens the **Add** button opens a compact form; tap **More options** and then **Select horses and dates** to plan multiple horses at once.
